Lately in The Last Frontier….

It has been a busy week.  I spent most of it in parent-teacher conferences (ugh).  Only four weeks left until summer vacation! Woo!!

Other than conferences, I spent my time this week cutting up milk cartons to use as flower pots for my students upcoming week of spring-themed lessons….

Enjoying the little things about Juneau, there is nothing like a rainbow over the ocean….

Attempting to sell this very Alaska-ish truck that we bought when we first moved to town…..

Cooking delicious and healthy meals to keep our tummies happy (recipe to come)…..

And, celebrating a birthday by gearing up for an evening cookout/bonfire.  I threw on my xtratuff boots, wool socks, and insulated rain coat.  I feel like such an Alaskan, hah!  (Btw-people were cooking moose burgers at this party, MOOSE BURGERS!!)

Busy weeks usually lead to relaxing weekends so I have no complaints.  Today I am just going to enjoy the sun and warm weather.  I may even spend the afternoon reading on my front porch and getting a little Vitamin D.  Life is pretty darn good :)

  3. I don't know if you changed cameras, but your recent pics are gorgeous! You are a great photographer. The pic of the stuffed shells makes me hungry! They look yummy!

    1. Thanks! I actually don't have a real camera (fingers crossed for Christmas). I take them all with my cellphone. But, I upgraded from a Droid to an IPhone recently and have noticed a HUGE difference. I also edit them occasionally using different IPhone apps to make the colors really pop!
